Riviera Maya January 2016

Our first stamps in our passports
Off to Cancun and then on to Riviera Maya
We stayed at the Grand Palladium Resort

The resorts beach was 2 miles long

Our room in villa #68 was large and spacious
We really enjoyed the jetted tub after walking
everywhere all day

Iguanas were everywhere we went

We had two decisions to make
How much sunblock
and how long to tan on the front and the back

We attempted snorkeling.
We swam with giant turtles
saw the corral reef and salt water fish

Sunday we went up into the country
and went to a cenote (an underground river)
and a living Mayan village and then
Chichen Itza one of the
seven wonders of the world.

The only Mormons we meet the whole
vacation was the elders at chichen itza

The Cabanas on the beach were the best
We would have loved to spend three more
days reading and stitching on the beach

The resort had crocodiles - enclosed

Flamingos

Orchid Gardens

We could eat or drink anything, anytime.
We did break down and have a Virgin Margarita and Daiquari
before we caught our shuttle back to the airport

Goodbye Cancun - Hope to come back some day

It was a wonderful vacation.
